Born and growing up on the Wirral, I was attracted to drawing and painting from a young age, partly inspired by my father who decorated the ceilings of old cinemas and dance halls. This led to my studying art at Wirral Metropolitan College before pursuing a degree in Film and Animation at the University of Humberside.
Following this, I spent many years employed as a digital artist, mainly within the computer entertainment industry on well known games such as the Broken Sword series and a number of Disney titles, before moving into a freelance role and continuing to work in the field of computer games as well as creating book illustrations and art for clothing lines.
During this time I also started creating more artwork for myself, inspired by my interests in dark fairy tales, alternative music and 50s fashion.
More recently, after moving to a small Yorkshire village and receiving commissions for more traditional artwork, I have rediscovered my love of painting and I am currently enjoying bringing bright and colourful characters to the page which will, hopefully, make people smile.
